Trelegate (“Trelegate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an online marketplace that connects customers with vetted local professionals and lets you browse services, request quotes, message pros, book visits and pay — all in one place. This Privacy Policy applies to our website and related services (the “Marketplace”).

By using the Marketplace, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Marketplace.

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or service address, the details of a job or quote request, messages you send to pros, reviews you write, and account credentials.
• Information collected automatically — such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, the approximate location derived from your ZIP code, and cookie identifiers.
• Information from third parties — such as payment confirmations from our payment processor, and geocoding results when we resolve an address you enter.

We do not store full card numbers; card payments are handled directly by our payment processor.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the Marketplace and match you with relevant local pros and products near you.
• Deliver quote requests and bookings to pros and enable messaging between you and them.
• Process payments, send confirmations, receipts and service-related notifications.
• Personalize results, improve our services, and keep the Marketplace safe and secure.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We share information only as needed to run the Marketplace:

• With pros — when you request a quote or book a visit, we share the details necessary for them to respond (e.g. your name, contact details, location and job description).
• With service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate, including our payment processor (Stripe) and mapping/geocoding providers, who may only use the data to perform services for us.
• For legal reasons — when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your location and preferences, and understand how the Marketplace is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features (for example, staying logged in or remembering your ZIP code).

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Marketplace, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your information from your account, or contact us to exercise any of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections and processing card payments through a PCI-compliant processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your data.

The Marketplace is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Marketplace after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
